Generative AI is a potent technology with the capacity to revolutionize teaching, learning, and work. At Abbotsford School District, we are having the conversations and stepping into the AI space thoughtfully. We must address concerns related to data privacy, algorithmic bias, and its impact on education. Achieving the optimal balance between AI and human interaction is essential. The following resources are designed to assist staff and students in using generative AI responsibly.
It is important for both our students and employees to understand the potential benefits and risks associated with AI. We will continue to focus on this topic as it evolves. The Ministry of Education provides the most current guidelines, and we will keep our resources updated regularly to reflect any new developments.

It is important to use tools that authentically complement Indigenous teachings. To avoid perpetuating stereotypes and to accurately represent Indigenous diversity, the use of authentic resources is encouraged. Numerous vetted and reliable resources are available for educators.
