The Abbotsford School District publishes the Measuring Up report, a key resource through which the Board of Education highlights the achievements of the past school year and reaffirms our commitment to the Ministry of Education and Child Care’s Framework for Enhancing Student Learning. Driven by our core values of respect, trust, integrity, communication, and teamwork, our initiatives align with the goals outlined in our Strategic Plan.
The Enhancement Agreement for Indigenous Students is an agreement set between the Abbotsford School District, the Ministry of Education and Child Care and the Indigenous community. Extensive consultations were undertaken in order to choose the goals for this agreement. Our Indigenous Education Enhancement Agreement is a set of four goals that seek to ensure success for Indigenous students at school.
Our district is committed to our continuous cycle of improvement. We have a detailed ongoing cycle of assessment with our District Planning Committee and our Indigenous Education Council. Our Equity Framework has been in place for four years and is an integral part of our strategic planning and work.

The Statement of Financial Information (SOFI) is a reporting requirement under the Financial Information Act. The report is due December 31 and must contain the district’s audited financial statements, a list of employees’ remuneration and expenses (if total remuneration exceeds $75,000) and a list of payments made to suppliers (if total payments exceed $25,000) for the year ended June 30th. This information is available to the public under the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.
The Ministry of Education and Child Care acknowledges the Long Range Facilities Plan as a guiding document that provides Boards of Education with a district-wide framework for key decisions such as school consolidations, locations of district programs, maintenance and upgrading priorities.
In alignment with the B.C. Ministry of Education’s Framework for Enhancing Student Learning, our district has developed a Strategic Plan to outline the steps we are taking to fulfill our vision. Our 2024-28 Strategic Plan, developed in consultation with our stakeholders, sets the direction for every departmental and operational plan. The plan is comprised of the four key pillars - Student Success, Optimized Resources, Engaging Opportunities and Progressive Workforce.

Our commitment to addressing racism and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion is unwavering. This comprehensive Anti-Racism Action Plan outlines our strategic approach in alignment with the British Columbia Ministry of Education's vision for an inclusive education system.
The Abbotsford School District’s Pay Transparency Report, required under the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, will be published annually to highlight any pay disparities, beginning with gender categories. This initiative aims to support fairness and equity in compensation by identifying and addressing pay gaps that may impact certain groups.
